Dr. Hirsch is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Physician at the MGH and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Infectious Diseases, a position held since 2003. He's also one of editors-in-chief for UpToDate, an online medical textbook, specializing in infectious diseases topics.
