The next convening of the Implementation Science for Health interest group will be held on Thursday, December 19th from 1:00pm to 2:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Kresge Building in room 110, which is located just across from the cafeteria. If you would like to participate remotely, please let us know.
This month’s session will focus on grant writing and review of D&I proposals. Using a panel discussion format, we will be providing an overview of writing proposals for the Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health study section and integrating implementation science aims into other funding mechanisms including K awards. We are planning an interaction session, so please take a look at the resources below to get you started and come with your burning questions in hand!
Implementation science is a truly collaborative field. Take a peek at the dozens of successful applications that have been added to the NCI DCCPS Sample Grant repository and UNC’s Implementation Science Exchange.
Webinars on funding and grants development from several vantage points:
- Investigators who have used career development awards, including K and T mechanisms, to grow capacity in implementation science individually and at home institutions. https://cancercontrol.cancer.gov/IS/training-education/Details.aspx?ID=71
- Investigators who have shared their funded applications in the NCI DCCPS Sample Grant repository, responding to broader questions about their paths to successful funding and speaking about the components of their applications they found the most challenging. https://cancercontrol.cancer.gov/IS/training-education/Details.aspx?ID=72
- Past Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (DIRH) Study Section Chairs sharing insights gleaned from their collective leadership of the review committee. https://cancercontrol.cancer.gov/IS/training-education/Details.aspx?ID=73
While an RSVP is not required, it is appreciated so that we can get an accurate sense of both space and food/beverage needs. RSVP to Victor_Shopov@hms.harvard.edu.
We look forward to seeing you next week.
