Celebrating the 2025 HU CFAR Scholar Awardees

The Harvard University Center for AIDS Research (HU CFAR) Developmental & Mentoring Core is pleased to announce the 2025 HU CFAR Scholar Awardees. Scholar Awards support early-stage HIV investigators who are on a path toward independent research careers. This year’s awardees and projects are:

  • ChuanChin Huang, ScD: “The Influence of HIV on the Within-Host Genetic Diversity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis
  • Daniel L. Faden, MD: “Blood-based HPV-cancer early detection in people living with HIV
  • Shijun Li, PhD: “Targeting KSHV Latency-Associated Nuclear Antigen (LANA) to Treat KSHV-Associated Malignancies
  • Joao Ascensao, PhD: “High-throughput methods to study the evolution of breadth in HIV-specific antibodies”
