It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the unexpected death of our dear friend and colleague, Lauren Collins, MD, MSc, Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) and the Grady Health System’s Ponce de Leon Center. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Collins, MD, PhD, and her son, daughter, mother, father, and sisters. Our deepest love, sympathy, and prayers are with her family.
