SPEAKER: Dr. Eliezer Masliah, Director of the Division of Neuroscience, within the National Institutes on Aging (NIA), at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Masliah received his M.D. from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1982. He completed a postgraduate residency training in pathology at the National Institutes of Health in Mexico City in 1986.

About the Seminar Series: Each hour-long session in this series will showcase prominent researchers from across the country and autobiographical accounts of their careers in HIV research, specifically their pathways to career and research independence. Dr. Masliah’s presentation is entitled “NeuroHIV, Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease; A Perspective from NIA,” and will cover his work within the field.
