LinkHER: Rapid linkage to PrEP in OB/GYN Settings

Dr. Whitney Irie is an Assistant Professor at Boston College’s School of Social Work, a Lecturer in Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a Research Faculty member at the Fenway Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Her research primarily focuses on improving equitable access to biomedical HIV prevention methods, such as PrEP, for Black women in the U.S. Dr. Irie aims to enhance sexual and reproductive health through innovative solutions addressing environmental, structural, and social issues. She employs implementation science to assess HIV prevention strategies in clinical settings and uses participatory research to tailor these strategies effectively. Dr. Irie holds a doctoral degree from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also completed an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School
