Developmental and Mentoring Core
The Developmental and Mentoring Core provides developmental funding, grant writing mentorship, and training in high priority scientific areas to support the next generation of HIV researchers.
Developmental & Supplement Awardees
The Developmental Core provides scholar awards to support early-stage HIV investigators who are on a path leading to an independent research project. Applications proposing basic science research are greatly encouraged.
Mentoring & Training
Through the Developmental Core, mentoring and training is available to support early career development of young faculty and to enhance the quality of extramural grant applications, including K-Mock reviews and K-Workshops.
Funding Opportunities
Under the direction of the Developmental & Mentoring Core, the HU CFAR releases request for proposals biannually to support high-impact HIV/AIDS research projects with an emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and the mentoring and advancement of early career investigators, including Underrepresented Minorities (URiM)/Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in HIV research.
Resources for Sponsored Research
The University provides training modules and resources for researchers engaged in sponsored research. These resources and trainings aim to support HU CFAR researchers who want to learn about sponsored research oversight as well as pre- and post-award management.
