We mourn the passing of our colleague and Harvard University CFAR External Scientific Advisory Board member, Dr. Adaora Adimora. Dr. Adimora was the Sarah Graham Kenan Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at University of North Carolina, where she worked for decades to study and to ameliorate racial and gender disparities in HIV care. She was a fierce advocate and an international leader in our field. Dr. Adimora was a role model and inspiration for so many of us, and we will miss her intelligence, profound insights, outstanding research, and compassion. Our thoughts are with her family and her colleagues.
