UCSF CFAR Needs Your Help: Brief Survey of URM HIV Investigators (Due April 12th)

UCSF CFAR

Help the UCSF CFAR deliver on some of the first goals for the Dissemination, Networking & Visibility, and Funding workgroups to diversify seminar/Grand Rounds speakers, meeting planning committees, and study sections.

The UCSF CFAR created a signup form to gather interest in joining a URM Speakers’ List and serving on conference planning committees and NIH study sections.

Survey Details:

A gap the working group is attempting to address in the field of HIV is two-fold:

  1. Better promote the national visibility of URM investigators doing high-impact HIV research (e.g., diversifying seminar and Grand Rounds speakers).
  2. Ensuring representation of URM investigators on important meeting/conference planning committees and the members of NIH study sections. Diverse study section and conference planning memberships have direct benefits to URM investigators.
